About me

I would say I have a good balance creativity/rationality that translates into visual impact/functionality.

The creation of an impressive design alone, won’t have the expected impact unless we make decisions according to the careful analysis of our audiences, awareness of the constant evolution of the platforms we use both in practical and technical aspects, and many other factors that affect the way users interact with products and the media they consume.

As a professional in Marketing I am motivated to keep growing in those areas in order to support organizations as much as I can.  Especially those who want to create a positive impact in the world.

I studied Advertising for five years in Bogotá, Colombia -my hometown, where I subsequently had the opportunity to gain experience in media. I participated in a radio show, completed an internship assisting in the production of a children’s program for a public education station, and later worked in post-production for a major TV network. I have always been intrigued by what happens behind the scenes, which led me to explore different aspects of media and communications. This curiosity eventually brought me to magazine work and later to Web Design, where I learned HTML and CSS.

Since the early 2000s, I have worked in Graphic Design and Marketing, contributing to various stages of creative and marketing processes. As a native Spanish speaker, I also have experience in translation and localization, supporting companies marketing to Latin American audiences. My background in both design and marketing allows me to work seamlessly with both visuals and messaging, ensuring not just a literal translation, but an adaptation that considers cultural nuances, social contexts, and the original intent and goals of the brief.

After moving to South Florida in 2005 and Working with people from all across the American continent, my natural curiosity about different dialects and customs deepened. Combined with my experience working for multinational companies, this has given me the ability to recognize linguistic nuances across Spanish-speaking regions and tailor messaging to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
